What is SUD Life Health Assure?

At inception, the policyholder selects either the With Return of Premium option or the Without Return of Premium option. This selection determines whether a maturity benefit will be payable on survival till the end of the policy term. 
 

Based on the chosen benefit type, the policyholder may select one or more coverage options available under the plan. The coverage options include Accidental Death Benefit (ADB), Accidental Total & Permanent Disability (ATPD), Comprehensive Critical Illness (CCI) and Hospital Cash Benefit (HCB), with HCB available only under the Without Return of Premium option. Accidental Death Benefit cannot be selected on a standalone basis. Once chosen, the benefit type and coverage options cannot be altered during the Policy Term. 

Premium is payable as per the selected premium payment term and mode. The premium is determined based on age at entry, selected coverage options, sum assured, policy term and benefit type. The policy must remain in-force for benefits to be payable.

If an insured event occurs during the policy term while the policy is in-force, the company shall pay the applicable benefit as per the coverage option selected. Refer to the policy brochure for a detailed understanding.

For all coverage options, the benefit payable shall be the highest of the sum assured under the respective coverage option, 105% of Total Premiums Paid, or 7X the Annualized Premium if entry age is less than 50 years, or 5X the Annualized Premium if entry age is 50 years or above.

If the policyholder survives till the end of the policy term and the policy is in-force, total premiums paid for coverage options that remain in-force shall be refunded under the With Return of Premium option. Under the Without Return of Premium option, no maturity benefit shall be payable. The policy shall terminate upon payment of the applicable benefit, if any.
